He is the human version of a warm chocolate chip cookie. He is kind and generous, loving and gentle.
His favorite foods are McDonald’s snack wraps and butter chicken.
He loves Bollywood and basketball.
He has loved Kobe Bryant since the very beginning, before anyone else did.
He is a direct descendant of King Todar Mal and turned red and got very, very shy the one and only time he ever mentioned this to me.
He wears undershirts as T-shirts.
He is not a fan of old movies, but nods supportively and squeezes my hand when I watch. He remembers my friends’ birthdays.
He remains the same simple sweet person that he has always been. A constant in a world that’s anything but. He takes up so much space in my heart, that he fills it up completely.
Dr. Parul Chhatpar is a PGY-2 preventive medicine resident at UMass Chan Medical School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Vanderbilt University and a medical degree from William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
